Born of the union of two California Highway Patrol officers, raised in northern California, Marina constantly broke curfew... one fateful night in particular was to go to a Mötley Crüe concert. There she took photos from the front row, made some cheap drug store prints, and sold the best ones to her classmates the next day at school for $1 each. Earning $27 in one day, Marina knew she had found her calling!
After graduating high school she moved to Los Angeles and began working in one of the city's more prestigious photo labs, eventually printing and assisting for Herb Ritts and Anton Corbijn. She then moved into her own work, getting assignments with Alternative Press Magazine, SPIN and Rolling Stone. Today, her current client list includes PMH Advertising, TBWA Chiat Day, Warner Bros Records, BBDO Minneapolis, Universal Music Group, ABC/Disney, The Soap Net Channel, Comedy Central, Sony Music and Target, among many others. Sadly, Mötley Crüe has not been one of them.
Marina continues to live in Los Angeles, with her husband David, who is a prop stylist and set designer for film and advertising. They share their time between the big city and their home in Joshua Tree, California.
